Sample Lodge Day

Breakfast served in Lodge dining room between 8 and 9 AM.

Boat departure about 9:30 AM from the Lodge dock and travel across Kachemak Bay to Halibut Cove's Glacier Spit. This is a 4 hour moderate ability scenic hike with your own naturalist guide. Hike through geologic time as you walk the way of the glacier. Enjoy a campfire lunch with views of the glacier, lake and mountains. This loop hike takes you through three distinct ecosystems and makes for a great day adventure.

The boat will pick you and your guide up on the beach at about 2:30 PM. A short boat ride will take you to Halibut Cove's unique artists and fishing community. You may explore the boardwalk, visit a local art gallery or have a drink at the Saltry Restaurant and enjoy the view.

Return by boat from Halibut Cove to the Lodge at 4:30 PM. Relax in your cabin, enjoy the sauna and hot tub, and take in the spectacular scenery from the many decks and docks.

Gourmet appetizers and refreshments will be served at 6 PM on the dock or in the Solarium - relax and enjoy.

A delicious 5-course meal is served at 6:30 in the Lodge dining room. Enjoy local seafood, organic garden grown produce, fresh baked breads and decadent desserts. The Lodge and it's fare are featured in Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines.

Evenings after dinner are yours to enjoy with family and friends in your cabin, in the shared Solarium playing games and watching movies, going for an unguided walk, or relaxing in the sauna and hot tub.
