Walking Distance: 4-5 Miles over the 4-hour period on uneven wilderness terrain in hip waders. Alaska offers a multitude of wildlife viewing opportunities, but for many visitors the main attraction is the iconic Alaska Coastal Brown Bear. Summer populations of brown bear thrive in coastal Alaska due to abundant food sources such as sedge grass, inter-tidal shellfish, and salmon returning to spawn. We travel to these areas to watch the bears in their most natural wilderness environments.Offered during the month of June, last week of July, and first 3 weeks of August. Age limit: 11 yrs+

Brooks Falls Tour
Katmai National Park

Walking Distance: 2 miles to Upper Falls and back on flat gravel pathways and boardwalks. Katmai National Park Bears visit Brooks Camp (also known as Brooks Falls) every summer for the salmon run. Alaska bear viewing in Katmai provides some of the highest densities of foraging brown bear populations for public viewing. Brooks Camp provides excellent and accessible viewing opportunities for the whole family, with bear-viewing platforms, amenities, and easy walking gravel trails. Offered during July. Age limit: Accessible to all ages, however 4+ is recommended.

Pontoon Guided Tour
Lake Clark National Park

Walking Distance: Only from beach to lodge for lunch, the remaining time is spent by Pontoon boat. If you are vacationing to Alaska later in the summer, no worries- we have a great trip we offer that time of year! These bears get better and better late into September as the foliage begins to change, making for spectacular photos. This trip is great for guests of any age and doesn’t require a lot of strenuous walking. This is luxury bear viewing at its best with incredible 360-degree views surrounding you!
