A Sample Day at the Lodge

You and your guide will customize your daily activities

Wakeup coffee and tea trays delivered to your private cabin at 7:30 AM or later.

Breakfast served in Lodge dining room between 8 and 9 AM

Boat departure about 9:30 AM from Lodge dock, across Kachemak Bay to Halibut Cove's Glacier Spit. This is a 4 hour moderate ability scenic hike with a naturalist guide. There can be a campfire lunch with a view of the glacier and the lake. This is a loop hike through a glacial valley, with 3 separate ecosystems.

The boat will pick you up on the beach at about 2:30 PM. A short boat ride will take you to Halibut Cove's unique artists and fishing community. You may visit a floating espresso bar and the local art gallery.

Return by boat from Halibut Cove to the Lodge at 4:30 PM. Relax in your cabin, enjoy the sauna and hot tub, and take in the spectacular scenery from the many decks and docks.

Gourmet appetizers and refreshments will be served at 6 PM on the dock or in the Solarium - relax and enjoy.

A delicious 5-course meal is served at 6:30 in the Lodge dining room. Enjoy local seafood, organic garden grown produce, fresh baked breads and decadent desserts. The Lodge and it's fare are featured in the July 2006 Bon Appetite magazine.

Evenings after dinner are yours to enjoy with family and friends in your cabin, in the shared Solarium playing games and watching movies, going for an unguided walk, or relaxing in the sauna and hot tub.
