- Float plane access is the only way to get to Loonsong which is available only as an extension of a visit to the Lodge.
- Loonsong has no electricity - there are propane fuel lights, wood stoves, a gas cooking stove, and hot water for your shower.
- One or two couples traveling together or a family have exclusive use of the chalet.
- Michael and Diane McBride, the founders and owners, will accompany you and provide gourmet meals and all day guide service.
- Fish for rainbow trout, canoe, or row a boat to explore the lake's coves and bays.
- The charming chalet has two bedrooms with full beds, large picture windows, a deck and one ¾ bath with shower.
- Diane is a fabulous chef and will delight you with
her culinary arts. Fine wines and local microbrews are provided.
- The traditional Finnish sauna has a sod roof, cedar and tile interior, and handsome log craftsmanship. It is used for private steaming and bathing.
- The mountain valley is serene. The silence is broken only by the easy sigh of spruce boughs, the rustle of scented cottonwood leaves and the yodel of resident loons, blending to offer a soothing balm for the spirit.
